Argument for the exclusion of most Russian athletes at the 2024 Olympic Games

More than 80% of the Tokyo Russian medallists support the war of aggression in Ukraine.
Ukrainian sportsmen and women, for their part, are seeing their facilities, their training and their lives threatened by the very worst.

NO to Putin's army of athletes at the Paris Olympics

Our investigation, which was picked up by Le Monde, shows that over 80% of Russian medalists at the Tokyo Games support their country's war of aggression against Ukraine.

Ukrainian athletes see their sports facilities go up in smoke, their training seriously disrupted, their very lives threatened by bombings or mines, while many potential Olympic champions die on the frontline.

The argument below demonstrates how the participation of almost all Russian athletes in the 2024 Olympics would trample on Olympic values, disadvantage Ukrainian athletes and encourage politics in sport.
It includes a table of Russian medallists at the Tokyo 2021 Games who support Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
